What is the dress code?

We kindly ask guests to dress in formal attire that suits the elegance of the occasion. Think classic and sophisticated—we’re excited to see everyone looking their best! Please be aware the ceremony will be held on grass, so comfortable footwear suitable for softer ground is advisable. While we hope for a touch of formality, please prioritise your comfort, and enjoy the day without worry.

Is there parking available at the venue?

The car park is a sealed bitumen carpark on Bradleys Head Road, a short walk from Athol Hall, including two accessible parking spaces. Wedding guests may use the carpark; however, it's not reserved for the event and will remain open to other park visitors. Pay and display parking fees apply, and parking is available on a first-in, first-served basis in designated areas. Given this, we recommend considering alternative transport arrangements.

What is the climate like in august, and when is sunset?

Mosman experiences mild winter weather in August with average temperatures ranging from 11°C (52°F) to 18°C (64°F). The sun sets around 5:40 PM, providing a beautiful backdrop for outdoor events and photographs. With that said, Sydney has been known to bring on an unseasonably warm shine in August, so please check the forecast in advance.

Please note it might get chilly, especially in the evening. We recommend bringing a jacket or a warm layer, particularly if you plan to enjoy the outdoor ceremony and post-ceremony activities in comfort. For the ceremony, we recommend bringing sunglasses. The ceremony will be held outdoors on the lawn of Athol Hall, weather permitting, and the beautiful Sydney sun can be quite bright.

The reception will be indoors at Athol Hall, where it will be comfortably climate controlled.

What time should I arrive?

We kindly ask guests to arrive at least 45 minutes before the ceremony begins to ensure everyone is ready for the event to start on time.

What should I do if it rains?

In the case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held indoors at Athol Hall. We will ensure you are updated ahead of time if this change is necessary.

Will there be transportation after the reception?

To ensure comfort and convenience, please plan for your journey home. Given the proximity to Sydney CBD, a wide variety of public transport options are available. Taxi and rideshare services like Uber are commonly used in the area. More information can be found on our Travel and Lodging page. A note for late revellers: The Sydney Harbour Bridge will be closed from 4 AM to 10 AM on Sunday for the TCS Sydney Marathon.
